Located in the west of Shanghai, the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) extends north to the red line to the south side of the elevated Songze Road, south to the red line to the north side of East Yinggang Road, west to the red line to the east side of Zhuguang Road, and east to the red line to the west side of Laigang Road. The terminal of Rail Transit Line 2 in operation, "East Xujing Station", is situated in the center of the base.  The land area is 85.6 hectares, and the gross floor area is about 1.47 million square meters, including the ground floor area of 1.27 million square meters and the underground floor area of 200,000 square meters. The building is 43 meters high.  After the completion, the Center can provide the exhibition space of 530,000 square meters, including the outdoor exhibition space of 100,000 square meters, and will become the world's largest and most competitive first-class exhibition complex. As an important part of China's strategic layout for business development in the new era, the Center will play a significant role in expanding the world market and international trade and displaying the national comprehensive strength.  The entire Project uses a total of 402 elevators and escalators of SMEC.
